Here you can find all of our top tips and advice on how to get the best out of your turf.
- Always lay your turf the day you receive it! This gives it best possible start.
- Once laid, ensure it is watered well for several hours across the entire area. We recommend this is continued until the lawn is established. After this, continue to water it daily for 2-4 weeks (depending on the weather).
- Generally make the first cut at 10 – 14 days at 75mm (times can vary throughout the year), all cuts after can be between 25 – 50 mm.
- Feed with a nitrogen feed (professional feed available from ourselves) throughout spring and summer, a regular feed will keep your lawn lush and dense.
- Avoid overwatering your lawn by lifting a corner. It should be moist and dark but sopping wet.
- Do not walk on your turf until its roots have been bedded in the soil, this is generally 10 – 20 days depending on the time of year. You will know that it is ready when you try to lift up a corner of it and it doesn’t lift as easily.
