Depth in mm (1inch =25mm) divide 1000
x m2 needed divide by 0.67 = tons
eg: An area, 10m2 x 6m2 at depth of 4" (10cm).

25mm x 4 inches =100. divide by 1000. times by 60 (10 x 6) = 6 cubic metres, divide by 0.67, =8.95 ton.  

For top dressing and compost which are lighter products please just ask for cubic metres needed.

The soil is sourced from north Lincolnshire. The soil is suitable for turfing, seeding and growing fruit and vegetables such as: potatoes, leeks, onions, radish, carrots, beetroot and strawberries.

The soil is 6mm screened and supplied in standard size builders bags. The weight will vary, depending on water content, generally between 900 and 1000kg. Also now available in small bags.

We have supplied soil to Belvoir Castle for a planting scheme, and the BBC for a vegetable filming programme.  Both parties were invited to inspect the product to ensure suitability.  Both parties purchased.

Cow manure available in bulk bags mixed with 30% vegetable soil , ideal for the keen gardener.               

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Supplied The organic 15mm compost is a rich, dark, free flowing material suitable for digging in, providing humus and valuable plant nutrients. Breaks up heavy clay soil. pH 8.3 and was used at the Hampton Court flower show in an award winning garden, we do not recommend the compost solely for hanging basket use.

Green Top Sport 6mm dressing is a finely screened quality turf humus, suitable as a top dressing for lawns, fairways & sports pitches. Adds root structure, moisture retention and tillering of grass.
