Calculations: Example: Need to cover an area of 20 metres X 3 metres at 3 inches.
25mm to an inch X 3 = 75mm then divide by 1000 = 0.075 X 60 (20 X 3) = 4.5 cubic metres required.
Bark protects the soil from direct sunlight. This prevents the soil from drying out resulting in conservation of water. Bark and mulch can be used also to suppress weeds and is beneficial generally for low maintenance gardens.
Play grade bark is supplied in builders bags and meets the BSEN1177 STANDARD.
